BLESSED FOUNTAIN

 

The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death - Proverbs 14 : 27.

Fountain is defined to be a place or portion where water issues out. It is the natural form of a spring. Also, fountain can be said to be the place where something originates. It is quite different from foundation in the sense that it is lively. Yes, this appears to be one of the reasons fountain is different from foundation.

As we have given the definition of fountain in this wise, it in this form we shall connect with the verse above, where the fear of the Lord is said to be the fountain of life.

You must have read in the scriptures where there was a warning or caution given to us that - guard thy heart with all diligence... Why? True, you need to know the reason for this instruction. The reason given is ...out of it are the issues of life. In this case, we can liken issues here to fountain as earlier described.

So by inference, where issues of life is to be used as fountain of life, the question is what changed?
First, where issues of life was used, the heart was the main point of concern. Whereas, on the other hand, where fountain of life is used, the fear of God. is the basis. Therefore, it means the fear of God has its root and abode in the heart.

The heart that has the fear of God or the heart that fears God is what we refer to here as BLESSED FOUNTAIN.

There's a question for you today and now? Is your fountain blessed? Does blessing issue forth and out of this fountain.

Do not be deceived, if you do not have the fear of God in your heart, your fountain is not blessed. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are the enemies of the cross, whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things and whose end is destruction.

Fear of the Lord is the fountain of life. Do you fear Him? Failure to fear God is invariably toying with death. The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? - Isaiah 33 : 14.

Jesus Christ warned us about this that it's from the heart all manners of evil thoughts, murder etc. proceed. What's your heart status? Fear of God or not?

There are many wiles, devices, weapons and methods the wicked one is using to entice, deceive and destroy people. One of which is to make the heart of men void of the fear of God. Answer this sir, if the fear of God is the fountain of life, what is lack of the fear of God?

For this reason, Wisdom cries without. O ye simple, attend to His words and instructions. A blessed fountain will sure bring forth blessing. Let Jesus Christ be your fountain and source, the rest will be adequately handled. Call upon the name of the Lord in truth, so shall a new heart be given from which fountain of blessing shall flow.

Take counsel: FEAR GOD and LIVE.

WHAT WILL BE, WILL BE Would God that everyone be successful, but surely it has to be done, to be. I hate it when something unpleasant happens but what lacerate me the most is the comment people give as "what will be will be." This statement makes it sound as if we cannot do anything about it. I disagree for through Christ I can do all things. Brethren, if you prepare well, you will be successful, what will be will be. But if you fail to prepare, for sure your failure will find you out.
