MAN AND WORSHIP

“And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made – Genesis 2:3.”   That God rested on the seventh day does not mean He was weak or tired. It was an allowance God had to create to teach man the necessity and principle of rest. There are theories where people assume (defintely, it is not a belief; it must be an assumption) that the reason God rested was because He got tired. To those set of people, what the Word of God has for you is – “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?... – Is. 40:28.” Therefore, it was not lack of strength or want of it that made Him to rest. Then, it is a question to us now: what was the original reason for God to have rested on the seventh day?   First, He had finished His work.
