“LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name – Isaiah 26:13.” The lamentation of prophet Isaiah was heard in this form. The man acknowledged that it was not so with them like the former times. Just like Job, he remembered the days of old when by the light of God’s word, they were guided, when the secret of the Lord was upon their tabernacles. They remembered the Lord their God who gave them songs in the night. And like when they were in Babylon, the children of Israel upon remembering Zion hung their harps upon the willows for they would not sing the LORD’S song in a strange land. Why? Other lords had dominion over them. Presently, the legacy of Cain is being played out. Almost everything is able to control man.
