WOES TO THE DRUNK
“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit – Ephesians 5:18.” Drunkenness is something that the bible talks about. The scripture is not silent about this subject. The major form of drunkenness recorded in the Bible is with wine. Noah was full of it and he cursed his grandchild. Lot was made drunk by his two daughters. He lost control over his will and mind and he slept and impregnated them giving birth to children who became thorns in the flesh of the nation Israel. Nabal lost his right sense of judgement because of this when David sent unto his men unto him for assistance. In his drunkenness he despised whom he shouldn’t and disdained those he should have been benefactor to. King Ahasuerus was also one by this example because he made a law while drunk.
