Thinking about the commonwealth we have in God through Jesus, we are ever living to be grateful to Him always. The wonderful works of God in and for us are fully delivered and for this reason we live to be grateful and to appreciate all He is doing. With heart full of praises and mouth proclaiming thanksgiving, let us worship and adore the King of kings, our Maker. The Lord who delivered the children of Israel from their oppressors is still in the work and very interested in saving and delivering us every time. Jesus is ever making intercession for us – thank God He is doing just that for us. Our Advocate. Believe me you, if it had not been Jesus pleading and reconciling us back to God, from where do we have the boldness to call God, Father! ABBA!! I believe you know this! Let us glorify God.


TAKE HEED TO YOURSELVES, THAT YOUR HEART BE NOT DECEIVED, AND YE TURN ASIDE, AND SERVE OTHER GODS, AND WORSHIP THEM – Deuteronomy 11:16


Let us be sincere, are we really sure that we don’t have other gods we serve? Really? This century we are, has made it possible to serve almost anything and anybody available on our four-corner gadget screen be it phones or televisions, most of which we are not taking seriously. Anything and anyone that takes the first part in us other than God needs to be properly checked. Do we really love God with all our heart, soul, mind, might and body? If you say yes, what about your business, where do you place that? Your marriage, career, education; where do they belong. In the same heart? With the same might and soul? By now, you see we are not loving Him with all our heart, soul and mind. Are we? For this reason, we have sinned! All of us!


Worshipping of other gods is gradually and virtually becoming accommodating and tolerant. The twenty first century gods of Me, Myself and I are eating and hitting deeper… my car, my money, my house, my this and my this… Does it mean we shouldn’t possess anything? No, not at all. But whatever it is that is taking our whole mind, spirit, soul, heart other than God is enough to make us know by the Spirit of God what we have been commanded that, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”


It is no longer news that many hearts are being deceived almost every time. “Oh, you broke my heart.” “I’m disappointed in you.” These words are not new to us. Are they? Husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, professionals (doctors, counselors, lawyers), pastors, consultants including fraudsters are all being deceived almost every day. Isn’t it baffling? Deception in businesses and marriages, in the community and society of any gathering whatever are no longer news. One thing is understandable also that with this order of deception, the level of trust is also increasing. Even in this we, all of us are just as confused why should people keep trusting and believing lies. Aren’t you? Nowadays, people trust easily once you can show them sign. Take for instance, before fraudulent activities take place, a token or bait is given as a sign to entice the victim. To worsen the case, souls of men are derailed and led in captive because of deceiving words, signs to say. About this proverbs has it that, “My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.”


FOR THERE SHALL ARISE FALSE CHRISTS, AND FALSE PROPHETS, AND SHALL SHEW GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS; INSOMUCH THAT, IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, THEY SHALL DECEIVE THE VERY ELECT – Matthew 24:24.


Coming to the heart of this, we have been told not to ask for signs because if we do, “they will show us signs from heaven above and earth beneath.”Ask them for wind, you have whirlwind. Ask for sign above, they show you diverse signs from heavens and sun. if you say you want sign from the earth, they can cause it to open up. And because of this, deception is common. Oh, I have been married for donkey years without fruit of the womb. I am tired of waiting and waiting on God. Sister, better wait! If you go to soothsayers, false prophets and teachers, you have a lot to grapple with when it comes to signs. They will tell you your past, and what it is exactly you are going through. Solution? They cannot proffer that. If you are deceived to think they can. You have been deceived. It won’t last.


Just before we go after signs as it were, let us know that Jesus had said, “these signs shall follow they that believe…” and if we have suddenly become followers of signs instead, hmmm! I think we have much to think about and even much more to correct. Agreed? I’m always surprised because no person on earth is as surprised as we who have been told that these things would surely happen. Here we are, following after lies and fake magic and miracles. Till when, my people? The second epistle of Paul to Timothy summarises it here that, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived – II Timothy 3:13.” Oh God, have mercy!


FOR MANY SHALL COME IN MY NAME, SAYING, I AM CHRIST; AND SHALL DECEIVE MANY – Matthew 24:5


The Bibles says that, “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie…” Are we not believing lies now? As much as we try to bring this to conclusion, the fountain keeps flowing. Beware of deception! Behold you have been told! Many have come in the name of God and His Christ, possibly many more would come in His name in the latter days… those who profess to be but they are not. However, the mystery of iniquity is already at work, only him who letteth will let…


All we pray is that may God keep us standing till the end above every form of deception and wiles of the wicked in Jesus’ Name. False teachers abound in all ages, and seek in various ways to draw away disciples after them. We should not believe every spirit, but try the spirits whether they be of God as John said. In order to do this, all should study the Scriptures, and compare what they hear with the word of God.


Don’t be surprised! Don’t say you were not told. Jesus said, “Behold, I have told you.”

NOW THAT YOU KNOW Know what you asked? That's; Salvation comes of the Lord and not by any form of fretting or good works, why then don't you go to Him for yours. A delay is too deadly a time to waste in this case. I'm also convinced you know by now that Jesus is coming. Yes, you have this conviction in your heart. Full of UPs and DOWNs: Do you believe? The above stated theory is believed to have crept into us that we've concluded without questions. The postulation has been adopted into every activities full of hurly-burly. In people's tittle-tattle kind of or way of things, this theorem has been concessional.
