LOOKING UP


Life is good, they say, when surrounded by good people. But verily verily I say unto you that, life is good only because the GIVER is Good. Good things can only proceed from good God. And when this people know God, they become the good He is. With this we have our establishment in the word of Christ which says, "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things." Just to make us know that we have something good, a good heritage indeed because, "The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage." This is just to make us know once more that we have good things with us. Praise God!


Anyway, that's just by the way. Let us acknowledge God once again today, for yesterday's tussles, today's struggles and tomorrow's whistles of victory and triumph awaiting our arrival. Today is a day we can neither have nor see again. That we will have another Tuesday with the same title of 18/08/2020? Never! We can have other TUESDAYs, other 18s, other AUGUSTs and the likes but a Tuesday like this what would never come any more. Hence, having known that this is a new day that none of us has ever witnessed, been in, let us do that which is comely to God and acceptable... Give to God the praise due to His name. Let this day count for good in your life unto your Maker. Now! Hallelujah!!!


LIKE A CRANE OR A SWALLOW, SO DID I CHATTER: I DID MOURN AS A DOVE: MINE EYES FAIL WITH LOOKING UPWARD: O LORD, I AM OPPRESSED; UNDERTAKE FOR ME - Isaiah 38:14.


Like we said earlier and affirmed by many that life is good when surrounded by good people. You see, there are times that when we look around even the so called "good people" we see around become vile. Most times, when challenges come and they are stressed and stretched to their limits, you seek them and find them no more. If this should be the case of good people and good men never mind what the vilest offenders and wicked people would do to. If you see them around, they only come to mock and despise at our reproach.


IN MEN WHOM MEN CONDEMN ILL

I FIND SO MUCH OF GOODNESS STILL;

IN MEN WHOM MEN PRONOUNCE DIVINE

I FIND SO MUCH OF SIN AND BLOT,

I DO NOT DARE TO DRAW A LINE BETWEEN THE TWO, WHERE GOD HAS NOT


David got to a point where everyone around him literally deserted him and in one of his Psalms he had to pen it that, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up." What is the point of stress or emphasis here? It is just to call our undistracted attention to this that, when situations, circumstances, challenges are not encouraging us, or that we are not happy with what we see around us then we should, "LOOK UP". Look up to who or what? Well, many look up to parents but many parents are the cause of their children's doom. Some have looked up to friends and by the hands of the same friends have been led to be killed. Others believed so much in their doctors, lawyers and other professionals. However, there are still some people who are looking unto men, by this I mean "[men of God]" but were discouraged at the long run.


Who then should we look up to? To Whom it is written that, "Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God." What are we saying in essence? We are to look up to God, when it appears as if the conditions of things around us are not as expected or that the evils days draw nigh. Probably, you're in one now, don't loose the belt of your Steadfastness. Please!


AND WHEN THESE THINGS BEGIN TO COME TO PASS, THEN LOOK UP, AND LIFT UP YOUR HEADS; FOR YOUR REDEMPTION DRAWETH NIGH - Luke 21:28


And again, as we draw the conclusion and curtains with the word of Christ, let us pay attention to those things He has instructed us long ago before we were conceived or ever brought forth.


Oh child of God, you've done all things possible within you reach to see to the betterment of the situation of things in your family. You've tried your possible best to make the unbelief realise the previous treasure hidden in the earthen vessel but all to no avail.


And you, parents, you have brought up your children in the way of the Lord but how they turned our to be disobedient and obstinate children is what you can't explain.


Are you among those that are facing persecution, trials and torture of every kind and already thinking of giving up?



Have you been eager to start living Holiness. And you say, this Holiness of a thing they've been talking about, I need and want to start getting it right but you're always weak and disappointed? Could you please start again, I beseech you with the mercies of God, don't give up but look up.


Despised, forsaken, forgotten, tempted and tried, cumbered with the loads of care? Does the cross seem heavy you're called to bear? Don't know what to do? Then I beseech you that you LOOK UP, your redemption is near.


Words of comfort brought from the throne of Grace. Don't lose faith, don't lose hope; just look Up. Now you're nearer to getting your answers than you initially started.

NOW THAT YOU KNOW Know what you asked? That's; Salvation comes of the Lord and not by any form of fretting or good works, why then don't you go to Him for yours. A delay is too deadly a time to waste in this case. I'm also convinced you know by now that Jesus is coming. Yes, you have this conviction in your heart. Full of UPs and DOWNs: Do you believe? The above stated theory is believed to have crept into us that we've concluded without questions. The postulation has been adopted into every activities full of hurly-burly. In people's tittle-tattle kind of or way of things, this theorem has been concessional.
